The Curriculum

Overview of Hawza Studies

Duration of Complete Hawza Study: Seven years, divided as follows

General Phase

Duration: 1 year

  • Preparatory Year, general introductory year.

Preliminary Phase

Duration: Four years.

  1. First Certification
  2. Second Certification
  3. Third Certification
  4. Fourth Certification

Specialization Phase

Duration: Two years.

  • Specialize in one subject chosen by the student. After completing the specialization, the student becomes a certified teacher in that subject at the institute.

Focus Areas for Advanced Islamic Studies

Advanced Islamic Studies

The Specialization Phase allows students to choose one subject to focus on for two years, becoming certified teachers upon completion. Available subjects include Theology, Family Jurisprudence, Islamic History, Ethics, Jurisprudence, and Quranic Sciences.

  1. Specialization in the Science of Belief and Theology
  2. Specialization in Family and Women’s Jurisprudence
  3. Specialization in Islamic History and Biography
  4. Specialization in Islamic Ethics
  5. Specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence
  6. Specialization in Quranic Sciences

  • Start of Study: Begins in October.
  • Options for Study Each Year : Either Two or Three semesters

  • Teaching in Arabic

  • Duration: Two days a week / Three sessions per day.

Registration Options

  • Register for pre-recorded courses.
  • Register for live online classes (morning classes only).

Examinations

  • Examination methods: Open-book exams / Closed-book exams. Some subjects have no exams.
  • Examinations available in both Arabic and English.

Online Learning and Examination Methods

Study Options

Study options include online courses via our website, with choices between pre-recorded courses and live classes. Exams can be open-book or closed-book, with some subjects not requiring exams, offered in both Arabic and English.
